Michelle Swiger AUx Instructor & Advisor SOE Faculty

Bio
Michelle Swiger (she/her/hers) is an AUx Instructor and Advisor. Previously, she worked in the Center for Community Engagement and Service. In this role she managed large-scale community engagement projects and service-learning programs. Additionally, she supported a team of student leaders, and facilitated trainings and workshops on key topics in social justice for students to develop skills to be equity-minded professionals. She is committed to supporting students as they explore their interests, make connections across AU and DC, and develop a plan to meet their needs. She is focused on making sure all students have opportunities for life-long learning and success. Michelle graduated with both her Bachelors and Masters degrees from American University. She loves exploring DC, especially trying new restaurants, and traveling whenever she has the chance.
